As we mentioned last week (http://moourl.com/utterzQA), we're looking to supplement our current employee-powered customer service via the people-powered customer service site Get Satisfaction.
Thanks to @randycorke for reporting a new problem on the Utterz page on Get Satisfaction this morning regarding receiving two SMS notifications per notification than one, which is the intended user experience. This is an issue that was first reported by @RichPalmer and, while we're running a series of tests using different mobile service providers now, we're interested in hearing if anyone else in the Utterz community is also experiencing this.
If so, could you please DM the UtterzTeam or reply to this post.
There is so much happening in the next 3 months at Utterz that I can hardly contain myself. The learning that has gone on within the Utterz team to date has drawn a clear picture of the direction our community values most. And the beginning of a new one. It happens just that fast. Incredible, unbelievable even. I suppose it all depends on your assumptions. Everything does after all! I came across a news article that said around 10.3 million Americans will be filing for an extension on their taxes. Also, due to the economic stimulus package a bunch of people who wouldn't normally be filing taxes now have to.
What was the worst experience you've had with paying taxes?

Very excited to announce the mobile browser version of Utterz at m.utterz.com.
Here's the full press release - thanks for the quote Andy!
See, Hear, Share and Reply to Multimedia Utterz Right from Your Mobile Phone Browser
Las Vegas, NV, March 31, 2008 Utterz, the innovative service that lets anyone connect with their social network instantly, with voice, video, pictures, and text from a mobile device or online, today announced the release of its mobile site m.utterz.com. With the new mobile site, members can easily browse and reply to utterz as well as post to their other sites like Flickr, WordPress, YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, and many more.
Since its September 2007 launch, Utterz has offered the easiest way to communicate with friends and followers using multimedia messages from any mobile phone to any web page using a unique "mashup" of voice recordings and media files sent to go@utterz.com. Now, with the introduction of a fully functional mobile site, anyone can see the pictures, hear the audio, view the videos, and share utterz with other sites right from their mobile browser. Non-members can create a free Utterz account at m.utterz.com to join in on the conversation.
For Utterz members, m.utterz.com offers a robust and symmetrical complement to the full utterz.com site. For example, they can edit, tag and title any of their existing posts, push individual utterz out to Utterz Connections like Flickr, Twitter, WordPress, Blogger and YouTube. They can also reply to other people's utterz.
"The launch of the mobile site really completes the circle of mobile Utterz features: you can now create, view, share and manage your multi-media posts all from your mobile device without any special software on your phone" said Michael Bayer, CEO of Utterz. "M.Utterz.com allows for an even more dynamic any time, anywhere user experience for our growing community."
"I've often dialed the Utterz number to listen and reply to audio bloggers on my commute home, and I've created dozens of voice and picture mash-ups from my phone using the Utterz dial-in and go@utterz.com e-mail address. I've even created multimedia utterz online." said Andy Bilodeau, creator of the Andy Cast podcast. "Now, the new mobile site gives me the entire online Utterz experience, right on my phone's mobile browser. Now I'm officially connected."
In addition to several customizable players and widgets, including a popular mobile application on Facebook, Utterz makes it very simple to cross-post in multi-media to Blogger, Drupal, Flickr, LiveJournal, MSN Live Spaces, MovableType, Tumblr, Twitter, Twixtr, TypePad, WordPress, Yahoo! Groups, and YouTube, with more to come in the near future.
If you register at the url below and enter "utterzpeeps" you'll get a $50 discount. Come join me and a whole bunch of other "unconferencers" in Palo Alto.
- Choose the video and picture size that gets posted to your blog from Utterz!
Looking forward to seeing everyone as SXSW. Come say hello to us at booth #608 and come join in on the fun at our panel on Sunday at 3:30PM featuring Jeremiah Owyang, Chris Brogan, Chris Heuer, Leora Zellman and one crazy exercise for all of us!
All citizens are also encouraged to report the problems through the new mobile blogging community, Utterz. With utterz, voters can blog the machine problems immediately from their cell phone with audio, video, images, and text. Utterz provides a phone number for people to call in and "speak" a blog entry, which appears as an audio file.
Utterz provides a way for voters to immediately document their machine problems, share them with others, and create a public and transparent archive of voting machine problems. Please tag your entry "Ohio Voter Mugging 2008" and identify the scene of the crime. For more information on this blogging community and to join before the primary, visit http://www.utterz.com/.
Utterz invites you to tell the world who you support for President in your own voice. Put a Voice Your Support badge on your webpage and friends can listen to why you support your candidate.
- Now, you can set the size of the picture that gets posted to your blog with your Utterz Connections. Select any size from 100 - 600 pixels. You can find it on the second page of your Connection setup.
- Don't forget you can post to your other sites selectively or all at once right from your mobile phone or online using Utterz Connections.
- Post and reply in any combination of voice, video, pictures and text using webcam, computer mic or your mobile phone.
Welcome to the new Utterz! You have all been so incredible giving us feedback and feature requests. This really is YOUR new utterz. So thank YOU! You'll discover lots of new treats as you go, but here's a complete list of everything that's new!
- You can now reply to an utter...with an utter! That's right, reply with webcam, computer mic, picture, text from your computer, and as always, from your phone by pressing 8 while listening to an utter.

- 24 new dial-in numbers in 17 new countries. Complete list is coming later today.
- New utter layout. Now you can tag, reply, share, and track an utter with one click!

- The audio of videos posted, now plays while you're listening to utterz on the phone, so you never miss a conversation.

- Choose your player when you embed a single utter.
- And of course, a whole new look and feel to the site!
Plus, don't forget:
- You can post your utterz individually to any of your connections and widgets by pressing 4 after the #, even if you have automatic posting set up.
- The new utter creation form with webcam and computer mic
Paisano reported on utterz this morning that Bobby Fischer has passed away. Pai raised an interesting question in light of Bobby Fischer's erratic behavior after his rise to fame...that is, does true genius go hand-in-hand with madness?
